But I dont really want them to automatically update to be honest. I imagine there may well be permission problems with that anyway. Another option is to add a registry query to your startup script to check the uninstall key for VLC media player. The VLC installer recommends that you close all other applications before continuing the installation process. When you're ready to proceed with the installation process, click Next.
