Unable to delete playlist from windows media player

Didn't match my screen. Incorrect instructions. Too technical. Not enough information. Not enough pictures. Any additional feedback? Submit feedback. Thank you for your feedback! So I went to my music folder and deleted all of the music I did not want and I also cleared them all out of my computer. But when I open windows media, it's still there. I can't play them because it tells me that it's been replaced or deleted or removed.

These songs are still in my playlist though. Can anyone help me remove these songs in my playlist. I would really appreaciate it. Step 1: To clear the Windows Media Player database, follow these steps:. Select all the files in the folder, and then click Delete on the File menu. Note: You do not have to delete the folders that are in this folder.

Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database. I wanted to make new playlists for my music in windows 7 media player but no matter how often I right click to delete it, the playlists won't leave. There is no music on it anymore, but the names are still there as if the playlists still exist I have uninstalled and reinstalled the media player 12, but the lists just reappeared from no where. You can either press the delete button or right-click to delete any content. Step 2. For instance, if you wish to remove playlists, then select the relevant Playlist option from the left panel.

Now, right-click the playlist you wish to remove and select the "Delete" option. Step 3. You can also add or remove songs from a playlist. To do this, open any playlist and make a selection. Now, you can either press the delete button or right-click to choose the delete option. Step 4. There are times when users only wish to remove content from Windows Media Player and not their computer.

Step 5. From here, go to the "Library" tab and make sure the option of "Delete files from the computer when deleted from library" is not selected.

Save your choices and exit the window.
